Description
An Art Nouveau Desk with a simple top and a headboard mounted on four turned columns, supported on four hinged legs ending in brass fittings. The carcass has three drawers with keyed fronts and signed locks. Under the top on the front and on the sides arched insets with inlayed narrow fields. The settee with two shelves on the sides, in the middle a semicircular finial decorated with inlaid flowers. Delicate wooden veining on the back, drawers and legs of the desk.
Pine, oak and mahogany construction, veneered with mahogany, marquetry of various woods, brass fittings, locks signed Kobenhavn Magasin Du Nord, c. 1920.
