Description
A painting depicting a village scene with a Girl and geese. Against the background of a brick house, the figure of a little girl who holds a clay pot in one hand, and with the other tries to open the wooden door to the house to hide from three geese attacking her. Greenish leaves are climbing on the facade of the house, and vessels are visible in the window with shutters. The whole is mounted in a wide, adorned with floral patterns, gilded frame, in the corners of which are placed openwork compositions of acanthus leaves and twigs. At the back two steel hooks with string for hanging.
Oil on canvas signed in the lower right corner “Jos. Albrecht.”
