Description
Empire style table, with a round, inlaid top, supported by a shaft built on three bent, angular legs, which are topped with dragon heads, joined at the bottom with a profiled link and finished with a flat foot. Top with a wide strip underneath, slightly protruding beyond its outline, inlaid on the perimeter in the form of dancing couples, musicians and interconnected acanthus leaves, all enclosed in a double wooden vein. In the middle of the top, in the inlaid reserve, figures of three dancing Graces with joined hands and a wreath above the head of one of the women. Similar high-quality, subtle inlays in the form of plant twigs and rocaille patterns on the strip under the top, legs and link, on which a carved base for a vase with flowers is visible. Pine construction, veneered with rosewood, inlays of various types of wood, woodcarving, early 19th century.
