An Italian Renaissance style table

An Italian Renaissance style table with a round top supported on a turned, tapered at the top shaft and wider in the middle. The base has three symmetrically placed legs ending in delicate feet. The flat top has a central bone inlay in the form of floral and plant tendrils edged with three bone veins. The veneer is composed of rhombus-shaped fields, which gives the impression of cubes. The bone decoration also on the base showing compositions and veins of various sizes.
Constructed of coniferous wood, veneered with ebony, bone marquetry, 2nd half of 19th century.
