Description
A large desk lockable with one key and central locking. With straight frame lines at the front and sides, with a retractable and extendable top, with a low extension, supported by two boxes with three drawers on the sides, with wide slats at the bottom. Under the retractable and sliding upper drawer, closed with a double-bolt lock, there is a top lined with leather and two smaller drawers on the left and one larger on the right, with additional space for documents in the middle. Each of the external drawers is surrounded by a subtle strip and has a turned handle in the middle, the smaller ones with small drawers. There is an additional, lockable storage compartment in the upper large drawer on the left. The whole thing is closed with a single lock with a key in the flap, after which the remaining drawers, including those in the extension, are unlocked. The furniture structure includes steel latches and locks that allow the drawers to be opened, the mechanism is functional. The back of the furniture is also veneered, with stamps and entries on the back of the drawers.
Oak construction, veneered with mahogany and rosewood, fruit wood veins, wood carving, leather, Paris, second half of the 19th century.
