Description
Large Rococo style console with mirror and marble top. A mirror with straight sides with decorative elements in the form of acanthus leaves on the sides, topped with an arch with an openwork composition on the top in the form of flowers, leaves, shells with rocaille patterns. All surfaces polychrome and partly gilded and polished. The console rests on four massive legs in the form of plant twigs, decorated on the front and sides with floral applications, and under the top with a subtle ornament, with cut front corners. At the back of the mirror, steel brackets for attaching to the wall and a cover made of pine boards.
Wooden construction, polychrome and gilding, late 19th century.
Original panel made of mercury glass, dimensions 199 x 56 cm, with slight defects.
Selected marble countertop.
Object after renovation.
