Description
A Boulle type Sideboard, with a simple structure, closed with one door leaf, with a lock and key, supported on a profiled plinth. At the top, reflecting the structure of the furniture, there is a marble top applied to the body and an engraved brass strip. The front of the furniture is decorated with tortoiseshell and engraved brass sheet with plant patterns and veins arranged on the front and sides of the furniture. The front corners are decorated with bronze applications in the form of women’s busts, at the bottom there are wooden elements in polychrome in the form of acanthus leaves. A door with an oval, convex reserve in the middle, and in each corner there are also tortoiseshell decorations in the form of garlands, a vase and plant twigs, and a brass sheet. Inside the helper there are two shelves. The whole thing is veneered, stained black, and polished.
Mahogany construction, veneered with mahogany and ebony, tortoiseshell and brass sheet marquetry, bronze fittings, marble top, original, late 19th century.
