Description
Louis XVI style writing table with a rectangular top that slightly protrudes beyond the outline, supported by four straight legs that taper downwards. The majority of the top is upholstered in original green leather, with a brass strip around the top. Three drawers in the casing, each locked with a recessed steel lock with a key. On the outer faces of the drawers are flat, subtly engraved strips, which are also mounted on the back of the furniture, in the place of imitation drawers and on the shorter sides. Legs inlaid with horizontally arranged veneer, decorated at the top with brass applications in the form of hanging garlands, and at the bottom with a fitting with a flattened ball. The sides and drawers of the table are decorated with inlaid in the form of geometric patterns and round brass applications in the corners.
Pine and mahogany construction, veneered with mahogany and walnut, brass applications and strips, 20th century.
