Description
A Napoleon III-style Vitrine with a curved frame, closed by a single glazed door and supported by a massive plinth. Decorated with subtle, thin wooden veins throughout. Beneath the top are two chiseled bronze strips, similar to those around the door, while the front corners feature applications in the form of plant tendrils, shells, and flowers, also in gilded bronze. The top features an original marble top, contoured to match the structure, in very good condition. Inside, there is a single shelf, upholstered in fabric, as are the back and bottom. The doors have a built-in lock and key.
Pine and walnut construction, veneered with rosewood, gilded bronze strips and applications, marble top, second half of the 19th century.
