Description

A Mantel Clock with a figure of a woman on a rectangular base, decorated with rocaille motifs and acanthus leaves, with four legs in the corners. The body is decorated with applications in the form of plant tendrils on the front, and with subtle rhombuses on the sides. Above, in a similar arrangement, there is a clock mechanism and a fully plastic figure of an elegant lady, with a hat on her head and a flowing dress. Clock face with blackened Roman hour numerals and minute scale. A mechanism with a full and half hour system, a pendulum suspended on a thread, a steel bell bowl, and a winding key included.
Gilded and patinated bronze, partially polished, France, second half of the 19th century.
