Description
A set of four round plates with genre scenes. Shallow plates with a wavy, gilded relief on a navy blue background around the collar in the form of interconnected twigs and a double gilded vein on the edge. In the mirror, in a gilded, matte reserve, painted genre scenes depicting people, buildings appropriate to the era, surrounded by lush vegetation.
Hand-painted and gilded porcelain.
Plates signed on the underside with underglaze signs of two crossed swords, Meissen 1850-1924.
Plates in very good condition.
