Description
A Louis XVI style Sideboard with a retractable top, closed by three doors with drawers above them. The whole is supported on four massive, tapered, fluted legs with a bronze sleeve. The central door protrudes forward, slightly curved, just like the drawer above, with reserve veneer, surrounded by a double wooden vein. Each door and drawer with a mortise lock, three keys included. Rounded front corners, decorated with openwork applications made of gilded bronze. There are engraved keys and drawers on the drawer faces, and single fittings on the doors, also made of gilded bronze. At the top there is a marble countertop, slightly protruding beyond the outline of the furniture, corresponding to the shape of the buffet. One shelf inside.
Pine and mahogany construction, veneered with walnut and mahogany, woodcarving, gilded bronze fittings, marble top, 20th century.
