Description
A figurine of a woman with a sheep, mounted on a circular base with a tree trunk, on which the figure of a sheep sits, perched on part of her dress. Next to it, a beautiful woman in an elegant, colorful outfit, adorned with delicate leaves and lace, ties a bow around the sheep’s neck. On her head is a hat, necklace, and gold earrings, and on her feet are shoes adorned with a gilded bow.
The figurine, designed by Michel Victor Acier, is signed underglaze with cobalt in the shape of two intersecting swords, the mark of the Meissen manufactory used from 1850 to 1924. Also visible are the model number “F68” and the number “67” impressed into the mass.
Porcelain, Meissen, second half of the 19th century.
The figurine is in very good condition. There are minor signs of repair to the hat.
