Description
A Napoleon III-style sideboard with a simple design, closed with a pair of doors, supported on four turned legs, the front ones with brass sleeves. The door leaves are decorated with inlays made of various types of wood in the form of flower bouquets enclosed by a single wooden string, all on a recessed panel surrounded by a brass strip. On the sides at the front there are turned and fluted columns, narrowing towards the top, finished with brass caps. The sides of the furniture have slanted veneer and are lined with veins. At the top there is an original marble top with a brass strip around it. Brass strip also under the countertop and at the plinth. Inside there are two shelves and a lock with a key in the door.
Mahogany construction, veneered with mahogany and rosewood, inlays made of various types of wood, marble top, brass strips and applications, early 20th century.
