Description
A mantel clock featuring Aphrodite and Cupid, with a rectangular base, legs in the form of acanthus leaves at the front and angular legs at the back. Above, a figure of Aphrodite seated in an armchair, accompanied by a Cupid holding up a mirror to a woman. To the left, a pedestal, on top of which, in an oval field, is a porcelain figure depicting Cupid surrounded by floral garlands, below is a clock mechanism with an enameled dial, blackened Roman numeral hour markers, and hands. The clock has a spring-wound hour and half-hour striking system, and includes a steel bell bowl, pendulum, and key.
